Mashiro was a very normal girl until she disturbed a scared ceremony where
the gods would be placed in one's hair.She was playing tag with her cousin,
Midori, when she opened a door which contains midori's sister, Ruri, and some
people performing the 'kami kami kaeshi ' or 'come back, come back, god' in english
process.Because of that, the gods that were surposed to go into Ruri's hair went to
Mashiro's and from then on, Mashiro was kept in a dark room, underneath a shrine.
She was not allowed to go out , cut her hair, and she could not grow from the day she
became the 'keeper' of god. She remained small, tiny, while her hair grew out continuously.
She had a butcher, named Hayate.One day, Mashiro steped out of her 'room' and went out,
Chased by her aunt, the head of the family, and her followers.When she ordered Hayate to
kill Mashiro, he refused and helped Mashiro to escape.In the confusion, Out came a fire god
named Hinokagutsuki and helped in Mashiro's escape...
